Porter Robinson‘s goal for Worlds was to bring something entirely new to the table, and for the most part, he succeeded with flying colors. Not only did Worlds sound totally unique compared to the producer's previous works but it was a both a fan and critical success. One can only imagine the daunting task of doing these tracks justice in an official remix. Luckily, one of Porter's longtime friends, the outspoken Mat Zo (so you definitely know it wasn't ghost produced), has taken the track “Flicker” and absolutely blew it through the roof, demonstating the famously versatile style of the production virtuoso with a blend of heavy electro house and andreneline pumping drum and bass, all while maintaining the cartoony, light heartedness of the original.
Porter Robinson called it “one of the best remixes i've ever gotten in my life” and it's gonna be part of an entire remix LP that will be coming out on October 2nd. Other acts recruited include ODEZSA, Sleeping Tom, Slumberjack, with rumors of Zedd as well, making this remix album one of the biggest dance releases of the entire year, especially if everyone delivers the way Mr. Zo did.
